Barringer Road K-Kids Club food drive

Posted Date: 4/01/25 (7:42 PM)

Three children hold signs and snacks to promote a food drive for Kiwanis.

Kaileeanna Hogeboom, Grayson Meinzer, and Gavin Stefanski
shared top honors in the K-Kids poster design contest.

Barringer Road's recently founded K-Kids Club is conducting a non-perishable food drive for the local food panty through Friday, Apr. 11. Anyone wishing to donate, can drop off items at the Barringer Road office or send them to school with a Barringer Road student.

The food drive was the brainchild of the club members. At their first meeting, they voted to host the drive to benefit the local food pantry. To spread the word, the students designed posters to hang around the building. A panel of judges chose the top three posters, awarding each designer a prize. Congratulations Grayson Meinzer, Kaileeanna Hogeboom, and Gavin Stefanski!

K-Kids is a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program for primary/elementary school age students. Club members improve their schools and communities — an experience that helps them develop a passion to serve, a desire to lead and the ability to engage and collaborate with others.
